1、Training Goals

The department aims to train professionals so that they have a solid foundation, breadth of knowledge, motivation for their work, and adaptability to perform both scientific research and management. This training emphasizes expanding the students’ breadth of knowledge, so that they can understand other energy-related fields, especially high-tech developments, and can apply their knowledge to these fields, paving the way for their future research and development.

2、Program Length

An undergraduate Tsinghua University education requires 4 years. Students who meet the graduation requirements are awarded a Bachelor of Engineering degree.

3、Major

The department has one undergraduate major, Energy Power Systems and Automation (originally referred to as Thermal and Power Engineering), which requires 4 years. Students who meet the graduation requirements are awarded a Bachelor of Engineering degree.

4、Curriculum

The undergraduate must complete a range of general courses including both fundamental and professional engineering technology courses(140 credits at least) and 31 credits of practical applications including 15 credits for a senior design thesis.
